Bal Diwas Celebrated on 14th November every year in India with a great celebrity. This date was chosen as a day to celebrate childhood and specially chosen as it marks the birth anniversary of legendary freedom fighter and independent India’s first Prime Minister Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru, because his love and passion for children.

Bal Diwas on 14th November:

He liked and loved children very much and through this he was called with affectionate as “Chacha Ji” by children. Bal Diwas is special day for children and minors to understand sole aim of children and to promote the children welfare all over the India and world. Many schools specially organize lot of activities and events for children to encourage them and to keep happy them.

Some rich people and social institutes who work for children welfare, they distribute sweets and toys among children on this day. Some schools organize competition between children like Painting competition, Essay Writing Competition etc. to encourage them. Bal Diwas celebrated all over the India as a day of fun and frolic, a celebration of childhood. This day is marked with so many activities for children and actually celebrated existence of children. People go to Parks, Zoos, museums and historical places with their children to entertain them.

Parents give gift and presents to their children as well as spend time with them. All the newspapers and magazines publish informative articles and features related to children on this day in India to remind us, to renew our commitment to the welfare of children.

    The reason why his birthday has been chosen for the celebration of children is because of his love and passion for children. Pandit Nehru is also regarded as the country’s special child to have been the first Prime Minister, after her long struggle for independence.
