Bodhi day is related to Buddha Religion. Bodhi day is celebrated in the remembrance of Lord Gautama Buddha. Bodhi day is celebrated on 8th day of December month, in every year. Mostly the bodhi day is celebrated in northern India and Nepal.
A Story of Gautama Buddha :-
In childhood Gautama Buddha’s name was Siddhartha. King Shuddhodan was the father of Siddhartha. Mother of Siddhartha was queen Mahamaya. One day Siddhartha was walking in a village. Siddhartha saw four sad incidents. Siddhartha became a monk to find the reasons of suffers of life.
That four incidents are in the following :-
1. Siddhartha saw an old man. Siddhartha thought that one day I will be also in that stage.
2. Siddhartha saw a sick man. The man was suffering from disease.
3. On the third sight Siddhartha saw a dead man. Siddhartha realize the universal truth of death.
4. On the fourth sight Siddhartha saw a monk who was doing meditation to find reasons of human suffers. By seeing that incident Siddhartha gave up his palace and he went in a forest to discover the truth of life.
