Kumbh Mela is the festival of most faith and trust that has attention of all Hindu devotees even the foreign tourists. In all the rituals, the bathing ceremony is most important, which is held on the auspicious dates as calculated on the basis of astronomy.

It is believed that taking holy bath in sacred rivers during Maha Kumbh or Ardh kumbh will takes human out of death and gives them Moksha. Devotees, sadhus come from all over the world to take this holy bath in Yamuna and the mythological Saraswati River at Parayag (Sangam). According to traditions these holy rivers wash away the sins of their life. The ‘Kumbh Fair‘ takes place when the planet Jupiter enters Aquarius, According to astrologers. Kumbha (Kumbha means pot) Mela (means fair) is a sacred Hindu rituals.

Moreover the Kumbh mela will take palce in coming year as follows:–

• Bathing date. In the year 2013, Purna Kumbh Mela will be conducted at Prayag near Allahabad from Jan 27 to Feb. 25 and 10th Feb.

• In 2015, from Aug 15 to Sept. 13. Ardha Kumbh Mela will be conducted at Nasik and 13th Sep.

• In the year 2016, from April 22 to May 21. Purna Kumbha Mela will be held at Ujjain and the date of 21 May.
