Children’s Day universally celebrated on 20th November is celebrated on 14th November every year in India with a great celebrity. This date was selected as a day to celebrate childhood and specially chosen as it marks the birth anniversary of legendary freedom fighter and independent India’s first Prime Minister Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru, because his love and passion for children. He liked and loved children very much and through this he was called as “Chacha Ji” by children.

Childrens Day, 14th November (The Birthday of Chacha Nehru) :

Children’s day is special day for children and minors to understand sole aim of children and to promote the children welfare all over the world. This day is marked with so many activities for children and actually celebrated existence of children. People go to Parks, Zoos, museums and historical places with their children to entertain them. Parents give presents to their children as well as spend time with them.

Children’s Day celebrated all over the India as a day of fun and frolic, a celebration of childhood. Many schools specially organize lot of activities and events for children to encourage them and to keep happy them.

Some rich people and social institutes who work for children welfare, they distribute sweets and toys among children on this day. All the newspapers publish informative articles on this day in India to remind us, to renew our commitment to the welfare of children.
