Christmas Celebrations In The Holy Land:

Bethlehem is the holy land where Lord Christ was born. It is the place where people from all over the world come on Christmas. Three days celebration of different tradition is performed here.

First day on December 24 protestant and catholic churches celebrated Christmas on this holy land. On 25 December Greek orthodox, Coptic and Syrian churches perform the traditions. Last on 26 American churches celebrate the Christmas customs. All three days significance the three different services go to different churches in different languages.

Lunch on this holy land includes turkey, spiced with pepper, cinnamon and nutmeg and stuffed with rice, meat, pine nuts and almonds. On Christmas Eve carols are sung at each house by Protestants. People in catholic churches are blessed by holy water. They take a sip to be blessed by the Lord Christ. In epiphany a special church service is performed. A cross is dipped into water to bless it and people take this water to home. They take three sip of this holy water before taking Christmas dinner.
