Colorful rangoli are made at doorsteps and at the morning time leaves of neem tree are eaten on this day by all family members. Worship and pooja are offered to Gudi with turmeric, sandal wood paste, flowers and sweets. It is said in our history that lord ram killed Bali on this day so it was a day of celebration and the day time of new welcome. this day is very auspicious day of people and they buy silver and gold on this day.
