This Batu cave festival of Hindu people is celebrated once a year in a tenth month of according to Hindu calender. Batu Caves are situated thirteen kilometers (seven miles) north of the capital city Kuala Lumpur. During the Hindu Thaipusam festival some 100.000 people are coming to the Batu caves. It is said to be the biggest festival of that kind outside of India.
At that place all have to climb up to 272 steps, which will lead you to the religious and magnificent Batu Caves. Thaipusam is a once in a year unique Hindu festival that is celebrated in a grand scale in the famous Batu Caves. Some days ago in festival the Hindu devotes their tounge, faces and bodies.
