Kumbha (Kumbha means pot) Mela is a sacred Hindu pilgrimage that takes place at the following four locations of India. The four places are Prayag, Haridwar, Ujjain and Nasik. All the places are situated on bank of holy river. This pilgrimage Hindu Festival of Kumbha Mela held four times in twelve years.

In this Kumbha Mela many of the peoples and make it the largest
pilgrimage that gathering around the world. This festival is based on a long story about thousands of year ago related to AMRIT which is found in the MILKY OCEAN. The demons take the pot and run away. For twelve days and twelve nights gods and demon fought in the sky. During the battle the amrit drops into the four places.

This Kumbha Mela is attended by millions of people on a single day. A ritual bath at a predetermined time and place is the major event of this festival Thousands of holy men, women (monks, saints, sadhus) grace the occasion by their presence. The auspiciousness of Kumbha Mela is in part attributed to the gathering of thousands of holy men – women at one place on earth and make itself fresh and good.
