Holi is a well known and colourful festival of India. Holi come in the Hindi month of falgun (febuary-march). holi festival comes during end of the spring season.
Holi festival is celebrated for two days, on the first day’s evening wood and crowding cakes are collected at some cross roads and they are burnt in a big holi fire. The fair of holi held in the market. It is said the Prahlad was saved on this day by narsingh avtaar.
On the second day of holi people sprinkle coloured water on each other. They apply coloured powder on the faces of each other and they embrace each other. people sing song and dance with music. this day is also known as dhureli or dhulandi.
