Nightingale’s birth. The International Council of Nurses celebrates this important day each year with the production and distribution of the International Nurses’ Day Kit.
International Nurses Day is an opportunity to celebrate nurses and their involvement to the health of society. Every year the International Council of Nurses chooses a theme for International Nurses Day conference.
To celebrate International Nurses Day, people share the ACN National Nurses Breakfast. In a group, breakfasts held across Australia can be related in to participate in the ACN National Nurses Breakfast. The nurse’s breakfast can be anything from a relaxed get-together with friends and contemporaries to a department organised epicure spread. Take a couple of your friends, neighbours or colleagues to celebrate nurses at your local cafe, get everyone together in your local park.
