Kushinagar Buddhist Monument In India

A place in India in Uttar Pradesh, where Lord Buddha stayed last & entered into mahaparinirvana (death)  and the place is included as one of the four sacred places of Buddha’s.

There is a monument situated here in three parts known as monument of Kushinagar. According to specialists it is one of the well structured city in religious places.

Kushinagar Historical Background:

It is situated in the north Indian state of Uttar Pradesh, 51 km off Gorakhpur. Kushinagar is also known as Kasia. It is a celebrated center of the famous Malla kingdom. Many of its structures, stupa and vihara were here of decades ago, when its prosperity was at the top of its time.

By  Road:

It is situated on National Highway 28, it is connected with some other parts of the state. Road distances from major cities are : Gorakhpur-51 km, Lumbini-173 km, Kapilastu-148 km, Sravasti-254 km, Sarnath 266 km. Lalitpur 33 km from Deogarh
