Laxmi pooja is a part of the festival diwali. Diwali is a festival of worship and lights. On this festival it is a tradition to make goddess Laxmi happy for the bright future and prosperity. Laxmi Pooja held at the evening of diwali festival. Without Laxmi pooja we can not celebrate the festival of Diwali.

Actually goddess Laxmi was the daughter of sage bhrigu but she was reborn by churning of ocean of milk. Laxmi is the wife of Lord Vishnu. Laxmi is the goddess of wealth, health and prosperity.

On Diwali festival how we can celebrate Laxmi Pooja. there are some following steps we have to follow:

Arrange the items essential for Laxmi Pooja:
First of all we have to arrange item essential for worship of Laxmi such as a pitcher, kumkum, some rice, dhagas, coronate, turmeric, and some wheat etc.

Place the deities of Lord Ganesha and Goddess Laxmi :
After arranging the items require for worship, now we have to place the deities of both lord Ganesha and Laxmi by bath them with pure water and ghee.

Offerings On This Day :
Now we have to offer some fruits and sweets to Lord Ganesha and Goddess Laxmi with the kalash of rice and wheat.

Devotional Bhajan and Songs :
Worship of goddess Laxmi and Lord Ganesha do not be competed without a devotional song. Aarti is the main part of Laxmi Pooja to make her happy.

At the time of Laxmi Pooja we have to worship Ganesha first because he was the first god for worship according to our mythology. He is a Lord of goodness and good fortune so any new work need to start after his

worship to make the work successful.
