Mahaveer Jayanti festival is Birth Anniversary of mahaveer. This festival celebrated by Jain community. It comes in the month of chaitra and this celebration is celebrated in thirteenth days with joy. The people of Jain community observe fast and specially they observe waterless fast On this day.
On this day Jain people performed coronation(abhishek) and they organize majestic procession of idol of mahaveer. This procession goes in through the main market of the city and last it goes to the fair of Jain community.
On this day people goes to the temple of lord mahavir and they pray for them and their family for health & wealth. All the people of Jain community look like a very happy on this festival of mahaveer jayanti.
