A group of nine nights is called ‘Navratri’. Navratri festival is symbol of a glorious victory of goddess Durga over the evils or demons. This entire period has a religious and pious importance. According to Hindu calendar main navratri festival is occurred in Ashwin month which is observed in September-October month. It is celebrated in all over India with an enormous excitement and devotion.
Main attractions of the navratri are ‘Devi puja’ and ‘Garba dance’. Garba dance is originated from Gujarat. It is a folkdance of Gujarat. It signs the admiration of goddess Jagdamba. It is performed by men and women. They dance in a circular area. It is such a great and colorful dance. Garba dance is performed on the garba songs. A magnificent garba song we can see here below:
