Rishi Panchami is a day of women festival of India which is famous for its especial observation of fasts by women to the
seven sages of the country in Hindu Religion. Those sages are Atri, Jamadagni, Vishvamitra, Gautama, Bharadhvaja, Kashyapa and Vashishta.
All of were the most famous and great sages of India and all of those well known for their especial miracles and powers which were given by the supreme lord. Rishi Panchami actually observed on the fifth day of waxing phase of moon in the month of Bhadra according to Hindu calendar.
During this festival of Rishi Panchami women engages with various types of ritual and religious acts to make those sages happy and for getting good bless for their life and family. On this day women prayed to lord Shiva and take an especial bath to perform the ritual rules of the fast. During this festival women spent their time in spiritual acts without taking a drop of water for the whole day.
