Saint Pipa was a great king of ancient time of Rajasthan. He had born in modern Jhalawar district of Rajasthan state. He renounced the royal life as a king and accepted a spiritual life. During his spiritual journey of life he composed many of the hymns in worship of Almighty. One of them the hymns of praise included in a great holy book of Guru Granth Sahib.

Saint Pipa was a famous ritual devotee of goddess Bhavani. Once a he dreamed by an apearence of goddess Bhavani and she ordered to him for visiting to Varanasi and aware the wisdom of a   Saint Ramanand. He done as the order of goddess and met to Saint Ramanand.

After met to Ramanand, Pipa decided to renounce the royal life and spent the life as a Saint. He was moved to Dwarka with his wife Sita and engages with ritual activities. Dwarkesh temple of Dwarka is the place where he worked for spread out religious thoughts of the Supreme Power.

Saint Pipa Jayanti is the day to remember the contribution of this Saint for Hindu religion. During this festival engages with various acts of ritual and religion. They perform fast during that time.

Saint Pipa Jayanti is most famous in Rajasthan state especially in Jhalawar region of this state. In year of 2011 it will be held as on 18th of April.
