Shri Dwarkadheesh Patotsav is a festival of re-consecration in temple of Shri Dwarkadheesh at a small town of kankroli district of Rajsamand rajasthan. This is a ritual ceremony of a form of lord Krishna The Dwarkadheesh. This is a festival which is celebrated on fifth day of Shukla Paksha of Ashadh month of our Hindu calendar. During this occasion deity of Shri Dwarkadheesh covered by strips of cloths on the head. On that day people worships lord Shri Dwarkadheesh, they get blessings of lord krishna for their brighter future.
There is a ritual story behind celebration of Shri Dwarkadheesh Patotsav in Kankroli. The idol of Shri Dwarkadheesh actually belonged from Gokul, Vrindavan. Once upon a time mughal ruler Aurangzeb attacked on the temple of lord dwarkadheesh, then it was moved to a near place of a small village of Udaipur. Later it was moved to place of kankroli near a beautiful lake of rajsamand.
