Hanuman Jayanti is a festival dedicated to lord Hanuman. He was a great devotee of Lord Rama. Hanuman Jayanti is celebrated as the birthday of lord Hanuman.

Devotees observe fast and read holy book Ramayan on this day. He helped to lord Rama to find her wife sita. During this he fought battle against Ravana. He also helped Ram to get victory on Ravana. Lord Hanuman is considered for power and strength. This holy festival Hanuman Jayanti is celebrated in the Hindi month of Chaitra. Lord Hanuman ji is also known as Pawan Putra Hanuman.

On this auspicious day early in the morning people goes to Hanuman temple and perform worship pooja etc. Many people goes to temple to offer seas mum oil, flowers and sweets on every Tuesday and Saturday.

Hanuman Jayanti is a famous festival of Hindu community. People decorate temple of lord Hanuman with flowers on this day and procession also goes through the market with lord hanuman idol with great charm. People join this procession with enthusiasm and sings devotional song which are made in honor of lord Hanuman.
