India’s most special celebration celebrated on 15 August. When was india got freedom After more than two hundred years of British rule. It was a new beginning of new nation and the country was divided into India and Pakistan. It was on the eve of 15th of August, 1947 that India tricolor flag was unfurled by the first Prime Minister of India Jawahar Lal Nehru on the ramparts the Red Fort of Delhi.

The Independence Day is celebrated with much enthusiasm all over the country and especially in the capital, New Delhi where the celebrations start with great pomp. The day is celebrated the birth of the world’s largest democracy and all Government Organisations have a holiday as a national holiday.

Thousands of peoples celebrated with cultural programs in the state capitals in Delhi. The Prime Minister’s speech at the Red Fort in Delhi is the major highlight. It is the social celebration in which people participate in large number.

Schools, and people hoist the national flag through out the country and put them up on the top of roof and the buildings. On this occasion official people’s only go to offices to attend the flag ceremony. On this day major attractions of children used to play with numerous kites of all colors, sizes and shapes symbolizing the freedom.

Republic Day is a very special celebration In India and a very big parade near India Gate, Delhi is the main attraction of people. the parade shows the military power and Colorful cultural of India both. From every State of India there are Jhanki comes which show’s the specialty of each state. The Army, Navy, and the Indian Air Force all forces presents there best at the parade.

The Republic Day parade starts from rashtrapati bhavan – Rajpath – India Gate and Ends at Red Fort of Delhi. All the rituals are followed of Republic Day and then national anthem played with gun salute to the National flag. Many of Awards are presented by President of India Like Veer Chakra, Param Veer Chakra and Maha Veer Chakra Etc. to soldiers.

Then Jhanki’s starts from every state of India. Pettrotic music and songs are played. school children and various dancers shows performances here. then bravery awards winners children and young people comes over the elephants. this ia a very big honor for them. the Air crafts of Indian Air force show fly past here and it is the most special part of this parade.
