Teja Dashami is one of the most famous festivals of Rajasthan and Haryana region. It is the birth celebration of lord Tejaji from the Jat community in the country. People from the Jat community celebrate Teja Dashami as the day of festival of their society. Each of the years Teja Dashami celebrated on the tenth day of waxing phase of the moon in the month of Bhadrapad according to the Hindu calendar.
Tejaji was the popular local deity of Rajasthan. He was the famous as the rescue people from the poisonous snakes to their priest and other people.
