Veer Savarkar Jayanti Celebration:

Veer Savarkar Jayanti is the birthday of Swantatrya Veer Vinayak Damodar Savarkar. Vinayak Damodar Savarkar was a politician. He was an advocate of liberty as the ultimate model. Savarkar was a poet, writer and dramatist also, He was a great personality who was loyal, courageous and whose bold writings about Indian nationalism. He launched a movement to remove the bad system of caste in Hindu culture.

and Realism. Savarkar’s revolutionary activities began in India and England. Where he was associated with the India House and founded student societies including Abhinav Bharat Society and the Free India Society.

Savarkar published The Indian War of Independence about the Indian uprising of 1857 that was prohibited by British authorities.

Savarkar was arrested in 1910 for his relations with the innovative group India House. Later he was released in 1921 under limitations after signing an appeal for kindness in which he renounced revolutionary activities.

Savarkar became a forceful orator and writer, advocating Hindu political and social unity. The airport at Port Blair, Andaman and Nicobar’s capital has been named as Veer Savarkar International Airport.

Veer Savarkar Jayanti is celebrated on 28th May every year.
