Christian Festivals are celebrated in the different way as other festivals. Christian’s festivals are colorful and full of religious sentiments. Christianity is the largest religion in the world. The Churches all over India hold regular prayers to mark this occasion. A Christian festival (also is a music festival held by the Christian community.

The Christians celebrate festivals like Easter, Christmas and Good Friday. School children have two weeks off school during Christmas and Easter. The Christian holy book is the Bible. It is divided into the old and new testaments. Christianity is engaged on the life and teachings of Jesus Christ, who Christians believe to be the Son of God. Christians believe that there is only one God. Christians model themselves on the life and teachings of Jesus Christ. Jesus taught people to love God and love their neighbor.

people around the world. On Christmas it is a holiday in the Christian calendar. Christmas is celebrated as the birth anniversary of Lord Jesus Christ. The festival is celebrated as a respect to Lord Jesus. Lord Jesus is considered as the son of God and the founder of the Christianity religion. The Christmas traditions are Christmas trees, Christmas presents and Santa Claus. Merry Christmas is truly wishing them a peaceful blessing ‘Mass of Christ”. Christmas is basically celebrated by the Christians. On this day, the Christian exchange gifts, decorate Christmas trees, go to church, sharing meals with family and friends and waiting for Santa Claus to arrive at their home.

Easter is a Christian festival and holiday celebrating the rebirth from the dead of Jesus Christ. Easter is observed between March 22 and April 25 every year. Orthodox Christians use Julian calendar to know the date of Easter festival.  Easter is joy and warmth festival. Easter is the time when people get together with friends and family and celebrate this joyful movement. It is a very joyous occasion celebrated in churches by wonderful music and flowers. Out of church people exchange the cards and Easter eggs, a symbol of spring and new life as Jesus’ death brought new life to Christians.

Good Friday – Day of Sadness

Good Friday is a religious holiday in India and is observe mainly by Christians. Good Friday is an important event in Christianity it represents the sacrifices and pain in Jesus’ life. It is also known as Holy Friday, Great Friday, Black Friday or Easter Friday and now days it is known by Friday in Easter week.  This day the Jesus died on the cross. The

government offices, Christian stores and businesses are closed on this day to celebrate the Good Friday. On this day  many Christians attend special pray on Church. Some of the Christians keep fast and break the fast by giving up meat. Good Friday is the last days and hours of Jesus. Good Friday is a day of sadness.
