Durga Puja is a festival of joy and happiness. Durga Puja is called as Durga Ashtami festival also and celebrated with great devotion in the honor of goddess Durga. Durga Puja falls in September October month anually.

It is nine nights festival so called Navratri (Nav Ratri Mean Nine nights) also. Durga Puja festival has famous from its dance (Garba, and dandiya) and songs of goddess Durga. people worship goddess durga with great zeal. Many people observe fast for whole nine days and goes to temple to pray for good health and wealth.

Western Indian people specially in Gujarat state, people organize Dandiya (Garba) dance whole nine days during nights. People place holy Devine image of goddess durga in the center place, they offers puja and archana also. then they dance with two wood sticks (Dandiya) with their partner around the image in a big circle.

Many songs have sung on this theme of Durga Puja. Many famous singers have sung many faith full songs on Goddess durga. The famous singers Falguni Pathak and Lakhbir Singh Lakha also sung many songs on this Durga Puja. There is a one famous song of HEY NAAM RE SABSE BADA TERA NAAM SHROWALI from film Suhaag. It was one of the best songs of Durga Puja.

It was sweet nice song, with some fine music and lyrics. Mohammed Rafi and Asha sang excellently in this song. Tune and lyrics was good and music was well.
