Process of Making Rakhi at Home:

Elements Require to Make a Rakhi :

  • Toothbrush
  • Artificial pearls
  • A silk thread reel
  • A cotton thread reel
  • Glue

Follow the Process step by step :

  1. Cut the silk thread reel into small 15 to 20 pieces.
  2. Arrange all pieces in a way, in which each of pieces ends with other piece and than fold all threads of pieces from middle of row.
  3. Use cotton reel to tie the bundle of thread pieces just 4 to 5 inches below of middle.
  4. Divide longer part of threads into two pieces.
  5. Use glue to arrange pieces.
  6. Use toothbrush and make a tiny thread at middle.
  7. Both ends also brush with toothbrush.
  8. Decorate various colored pearls to give it final look.

Above is a simple process of making a simple pattern of rakhi. Home made rakhi will more beautiful than rakhi available in market, because a sister make it with her love.
