Ganesh Chaturthi Festival is one of the most auspicious and widely celebrated Hindu festivals of India. This festival dedicated to lord Ganesh and celebrated as birth day of lord Ganesh.

This festival falls on fourth day of Shukla Paksha (full moon night) in the month of Bhaadrapada according to the Hindu calendar. Usually this festival falls in the month of August-September annually. The festival remains for ten days, ending on Anant Chaturdashi.

Ganesh Chaturthi festival is a well known festival of lord Ganesh, the god of wisdom and prosperity, whose vehicle is the Mooshak or rat and who loves Modaks (Indian Sweets Laddu). Lord Ganesh is invoked before the beginning of any auspicious work by the Hindus.
