Rabindranath Tagore is an idol or icon of Indian history. He was not only a poet or writer but also a musician, a philosopher and also an educationist. He had born as on 7th of May in 1861 in Calcutta. He was one of the nine sons of a wealthy family from Calcutta. His father name was Debendranath and his mother was Sharada Devi.

Rabindranath Tagore was the first Nobel Prize winner in all over Asia in year of 1913. He got this prize for his great creations of poems. The collection of that’s poem known as Gitanjali. This made him as a famous personality of India. He called as the name of Gurudev and his songs called as Rabindrasangeet. Two great creations ‘Jana Gana Mana’ became the national anthem of India and ‘Amar Shonar Bangla’ became the national anthem of Bangladesh.

According to Rabindranath ‘Real knowledge is that which perceives the harmony of all kinds of things in lord’.  According to him every body have to believe in the power of the lord and the religious thoughts of people. There is a need of unity among the people to find a destiny to reach near lord. He became most famous nationalist of that’s time of era in India. Because of his great contribution for human beings and for a great contribution for India he honored as Gurudev and the day of Rabindranath Tagore Jayanti is celebrated as the birth celebration of Gurudev.
