Must See Monuments of Rajasthan:

Rajasthan has been the land of the vigorous and victorious Rajput. These royal Rajput lived in magnificent palaces and were great patronages of art and architecture. The monuments of Rajasthan are living examples of the rich heritage of India.  Tourists from all over India and from foreign countries have made Rajasthan one of the most popular tourist states. The tourists take delight in the historical forts and palaces of Rajasthan.

Hawa Mahal is one of the most famous palaces of Rajasthan. This palace is unique in its construction as it has more than 900 windows to let the cool breeze in and make it possible for the royal women to take a glimpse of the busy street below. The palace is beautifully decorated inside and outside.

Amber Fort stands distinctly just on the outskirt of the capital of Rajasthan. A palace made of mirror known as the Sheesh Mahal is an integral part of this Fort. Beautiful lush gardens, grand temples in the fort are also a must see. Communal harmony is to be seen in Dargah Shariff where Hindus and Muslims come together to bow to the supreme power. The dome of the tomb of Khwaja Moin-ud-Chisti- a Sufi saint, of this shrine is plated with gold and is thronged with devotees who gather here in expectation of having their wishes fulfilled. The divine sound of Sufi music enhances the purity of the tomb.

The Golden Fort also known as the Jaisalmer Fort stands proudly on the golden sands of the Thar Desert. It has been named so because it is built with yellow sandstones which shine in the bright sunlight to a golden hue. These massive fort houses have many palaces and Jain temples. Rajasthan has a rich culture and heritage of magnificent monuments.
