Know The National Festivals of India:

Every country has a National festival that is celebrated with great enthusiasm and fervour. India is a country with a mass of religions, cultures and languages, and each culture has its own festival. These festivals that are celebrated following the religion are the religious festivals. There are also festivals that are celebrated not on the basis of religion or culture, but on the basis of humanity and unity as one. These are called the National festivals of India, and every Indian celebrates these festivals with the greatest passion for their Mother Land.

Independence Day: India had gained independence from the British rulers on the 15th of August, 1947, and since then, this day has been celebrated as Independence Day. This day is celebrated throughout the nation, and there are parades performed, and the Prime Minister of India unveils the National Flag, and there is Flag hoisting in every Government and private sectors. The National Anthem is sung while hoisting of the flag.

Republic Day: Republic Day is celebrated for the formation of the Indian constitution, which was formed on the 26th of January. This event is also celebrated with Parade in the Parade ground by the three forces from army, navy and Air force. There are dances performed by every state.

Gandhi Jayanti: Gandhi Jayanti is the birthday of the Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi. It emphasizes the important role of Mahatma Gandhi in India’s freedom and various contributions he made during India’s struggle of freedom from the British. The people get together at Raj Ghat, the place of his final resting and offer prayer, which is followed by Mahatma Gandhi’s favourite song Raghupati Raghav Raja Ram. Gandhi Jayanti is celebrated even in schools where a two minute silence is observed in respect of the greatest leader of India.

Before the freedom of India the freedom fighters of India started the day of 26, January form the year of 1930 as an “Independence Day” because they unfurled a Tri color flag of the country known as Tiranga on that day.

But Indians got freedom on 15th August 1947 and that day Celebrated as the Independence Day of India. The importance of 26, January make this day the Republic day of India. Government of India the day of 26, January named as Republic Day with the affection or making of constitution of India as on 26, January 1950.

This is the day which celebrated by the every Indian by organizing the social activities and programs in a big ground and the flag of India flows in the air all part of the country. Children participate with their school programs. They dances and sings the songs of Nations. It is the day to memorize the bravery and sacrifices of Freedom Fighters of the country.
